International cooperation

Our school has international cooperation as one of our main priorities. At the moment we have three partnership schools; “Utena regional centre of vocational education” in Lithuania, “Daugavpils Commercial and Catering school complex” in Latvia and “David Livingstone High School” in Zambia.

In March 2006, six of our pupils participated in a Leonardo Da Vinci Mobility project in Utena, Lithuania. They stayed there for three weeks, training their cooking skills in restaurants.

In April/May 2006, our school hosted 10 pupils from Utena, also a Leonardo Project. They were both studying cookery and hotel service, and got their training in a hotel and restaurants.

Three teachers from Daugavpils, Latvia, stayed at our school for a week in winter 2007, participating in a Leonardo Mobility project for teachers. In the summer, 35 teachers from the same school paid us a visit for a day.

We also have a partnership school in Livingstone, Zambia. Two pupils and two teachers visited  Livingstone, and it was a very pleasant and interesting visit. We really hope to develop this partnership further.
